FORMER Wolves player Andrew Johns will be paraded on the pitch at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on the day of the home game with Wigan on August 5 - and Darren Lockyer is also on his way to Warrington before the end of the year.
Johns is taking a planned holiday in Europe and will be in Warrington to watch the Wigan game.
The Australian Test legend could have been back in the Wolves playing squad next year had a neck injury not forced him to retire.
And, having played a part in the signing of Michael Monaghan, he again helped Wolves by telling Matt King about the club after his former international teammate had scored a crucial try in a New South Wales Origin win last week.
"After the third Origin game Joey came up and grabbed me," said King.
"We just chatted and he couldn't talk highly enough of the place and he gave me a lot of confidence in the decision to come to Warrington."
Wolves majority shareholder Simon Moran was grateful for Joey's help, saying: "It's great because he's so keen.
"He's coming over for the Wigan game. He's coming to Europe and flying in on the Saturday.
"It will be good to have him walk round the field and people can thank him for his recruitment help!"
Meanwhile Lockyer, who has taken over the tag of world's best player from Johns, has agreed to replace Joey as the Australian representative in the All Golds side to face the Northern Union at The Halliwell Jones on October 20.
Former Australia coach Wayne Bennett will be in charge of the All Golds - a predominately Kiwi side made up of star names, with Nigel Vagana and Ruben Wiki among those who have been approached to play.
