IF Ben Currie could have written a script for his comeback game he would not have penned one as good as it went in Warrington Wolves’ win at Wigan Warriors last night.
The back rower, who celebrates his 23rd birthday tomorrow, came through with no problems to the knee that had been repaired from a torn anterior cruciate ligament 10 months ago – and the bonus was scoring the winning try against his hometown club.
The only problem was, he had forgotten what to do after touching down despite having had plenty of practice as Warrington’s top try scorer in 2016.
