STRETTON Cricket Club's second XI drew with Alderley Park in a low-scoring home game at the weekend.
Stretton batted first and posted 118 all out on a pitch with a slow outfield.
That was something of a recovery as they had been 39 for 6.
Paul Critchley was the hero of the hour with 45.
Alderley Park endured an even worse start than their hosts as they slumped to 5 for 4.
They recovered and were just about able to hold out at 94 for 9.
Critchley followed up his batting with 5 for 30 and Bryan Jones took 4 for 16.
Stretton's first XI, who play in Meller Braggins Cricket League Division Three, and second teams are due to play Northwich this weekend, weather permiting.
The Sunday XI host Timperley.
