WARRINGTON Cricket Club's under 13s team have qualified for the championship section of the Cheshire County League by finishing top of their group.
They finished the qualification section by convincingly beating Northwich by 78 runs.
They scored 149 for 7 with contributions from Tom Lees, 32 not out, Ryan Gratton, 30 not out, and Matt Regan, 32 not out, leading the way.
A tight bowling and fielding performance then restricted Northwich to 71 for 9 with Andy Gilbert taking 3 for 3.
The development squad also finished off their qualifying league with a four-wicket win over Woodford.
Sam Houghton guided them to victory with an undefeated 30 runs.
