MATT King has sent his message to the Wolves fans ahead of his arrival next season.
The Australian will switch to The Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2008 and, in a direct message to the supporters, he said: "I hope they'll accept me.
"Obviously it's going to take a little bit of time to gel as a team with so many new people coming into the team but I reckon towards the end of the season we'll be on the right track."
King has signed for four years but he explained that there is an option in his contract for a further year.
The number of matches the 26-year-old plays in 2011 will determine whether the club or he has the right to decide whether to take up the option of a fifth year.
He said: "There is a fifth-year option but that would depend on how many games I play in my final year.
"There's a certain amount of games and then whoever's favour - my favour or the club's favour - depends on how many games I play."
