SIMON Moran has been pleased with Wolves' recent upturn in form.

Wolves were impressive in a 47-28 win at Huddersfield on Sunday on the back of a win against Wakefield and a narrow loss to Catalans.

"I think any Warrington fan enjoyed the game on Sunday," said Moran.

"We've won two out of the last three and we could have won the Catalans game in the last minute. The other two were comprehensive victories."

The future of Paul Cullen and several out-of-contract players have yet to be resolved but Moran has at least quelled recent speculation about whether Cullen would see out the season.

He said: "I think so, he's contracted until the end of the year. But we're just concentrating on the games."

The signing of centre Matt King could yet have a knock-on effect for existing players hoping to earn new deals but Cullen is not closing the door on backs Brent Grose and Henry Fa'afili - or any other player bidding to stay.

He said: "We've not been able to put a contract offer on the table for those players but big Chris Leikvoll is in that line and so are Paul Rauhihi and Michael Sullivan.

"There's room left for next year but that's a very difficult situation for those players to handle and for us to manage.

"We're doing it as honestly and openly as we can.

"Everyone at our club has had all season to work their way into a contract, whether as a player or as a coach, and I'm asking no player to do anything I've not got to do myself."

Moran has not ruled out more signings for next year but existing players do not currently have to leave for the club to fulfil quota regulations, with five confirmed overseas players for next year and five more still allowed.

Cullen is also confident there will be no problem gaining dispensation to remove Martin Gleeson from next year's overseas quota.

Gleeson, Vinnie Anderson and Mike Wainwright could return from injury against Salford on Sunday.

Mark Gleeson (shoulder), Chris Riley (ankle) and Steve Pickersgill (foot) are unlikely to be fit but Wolves expect to have slight doubts Paul Wood, Henry Fa'afili, Chris Bridge, Chris Leikvoll and Simon Grix available with fitness verdicts due on all players in the next couple of days.

After being delighted with the performance at Huddersfield, Cullen said: "We are determined that we don't offer Salford a soft underbelly, we don't get cocky and don't get carried away with ourselves."
