WARRINGTON Town boss Ian Street is pleased that his side will kick off their UniBond League First Division South campaign with a home match.
Town will start the 2007/08 league season with a match against Brigg Town at Cantilever Park on August 18 before trips to Colwyn Bay and Leicestershire side Quorn, who are one of a number of new opponents for the Yellows after the summer league reshuffle.
Street said: "I am just pleased to have a home game to kick off the season, be it against Brigg Town or anyone.
"There are no easy games in these leagues and no doubt it will be difficult, as too will the first midweek game for us at Colwyn Bay, who must be one of the favourites to do well along with Cammell Laird and possibly Kidsgrove.
"The new clubs are obviously an unknown quantity and from reading their club websites they are all recruiting well, especially Retford United, and no doubt will all have points to prove."
Town been drawn away to Chorley in the preliminary round of the FA Cup on September 1, with a home tie against Clitheroe, Holker Old Boys or Street's former club St Helens on offer for the winners.
The Yellows will host Rossendale in the FA Trophy preliminary round on October 6 and will travel to Spalding or West Midlands side Romulus if they are successful.
Chorley and Rossendale are both UniBond First Division North clubs this season and Street described the ties as mouthwatering'.
He also joked: "They are the so-called stronger' Unibond North teams that most clubs in the division are professing will hopefully be in for a shock against the southern softies'.
"We will no doubt be reminding our boys of that fact leading up to the games!"
