AUSTRALIAN rugby league star Darren Lockyer will appear at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on October 20.
Lockyer, regarded by many as the current best player in the world, has been confirmed as the Australian representative in the All Golds side to face the Northern Union in a commemorative match in Warrington at the end of the season.
Lockyer replaces injury victim Andrew Johns in the Dally Messenger role for the Kiwi side, which will be coached by former Australia boss Wayne Bennett.
Both Lockyer and Bennett, who work together at NRL champions Brisbane Broncos, will be making their second appearance in Warrington this year after preparing for February's World Club Challenge with a training session at The Halliwell Jones.
