WOLVES boss Tony Smith says prop Mike Cooper is doubtful for Thursday’s trip to neighbours Widnes Vikings and says Kevin Brown is “unlikely” to play any part in the Easter programme.
Cooper was included in The Wire’s squad for the 25-14 victory over Leeds Rhinos on Friday but sustained an ankle injury in training.
Brown picked up a head knock in Saturday’s 22-22 draw against Hull and concussion guidelines meant he was stood down for the victory over the Rhinos.
Smith was hopeful Cooper would be able to play some part in the Easter schedule but the news is less positive for Brown.
"Mike Cooper has an ankle injury. Whether he makes it for the Widnes game, I'm not sure,” he said.
“If not, he should be fine for the Huddersfield game.

“He pulled out yesterday as he failed a fitness test, otherwise he would have played.
“Browny has had a couple of head knocks in recent weeks so he's unlikely to be passed for Easter.
Loose forward Joe Westerman came off injured late on in The Wire’s first Super League win of the season and Smith gave an update on his condition.
He said: "Joe Westerman took a stinger to his shoulder. We'll look at it again tomorrow but we're hoping it calms down."
