MATCHES are proving to be difficult to predict on artificial greens, say organisers of the Bank Park Winter Bowls League.
A completed third week of games under floodlight on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights in an inaugural league being played entirely on the new imitation surfaces at Bank Park have brought about a few raised eyebrows.
“Teams are now starting to find their feet on these alien greens and results are proving to be different to what people have expected,” say league chiefs.
“Synthetic seems to be fun for all and makes results difficult to predict.”
