WOLVES back rower Ben Westwood has been suspended for two matches and fined £300 by Rugby Football League disciplinary chiefs tonight.
Westwood was found guilty of striking Hull Kingston Rovers loose forward Tommy Gallagher in Saturday's Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth-round tie at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
As a result of the ban, the 25-year-old will miss Wolves' Easter clashes with Salford City Reds at The Willows on Friday, kick-off 3pm, and with Huddersfield Giants at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Easter Monday, kick-off 3pm.
Westwood was on the current longest run of consecutive appearances by a Wolves player, with the Hull KR game being his 30th successive outing in primrose and blue.
