AN experimental Crosfields side could not hold out promotion-chasing Millom in rugby league's National Conference Division Two on Saturday.
Mid-table Soap, who host Normanton on Saturday at 2.30pm, promoted a couple of their Alliance players to the first team and took the lead when Louis Smith crossed, with man of the match Jimmy Williams converting.
Millom hit back with three tries but Craig Harris reduced the deficit to six points.
The hosts were not deterred, though, and ran in three more tries after the interval before their stand off was sent off for a high tackle on Matty Barber.
