Lymm 2nd 26 Preston Grasshoppers 2nd 10.
LYMM'S second team avenged a heavy early season defeat with a home win against Preston Grasshoppers in the Miller Homes League Bateman BMW Premier Division.
Tristan Laga opened the scoring for mid-table Lymm with a try in the first 10 minutes, with Paul Thatcher converting, and Zac Lythgoe touched down another converted effort from a rolling maul to make it 14-0 at half time.
Simon Wright then extended the lead after the interval and Tom Mann collected Thatcher's kick to complete the scoring for Lymm either side of two Preston consolation tries.
