ADRIAN Morley should be back two weeks earlier than first thought after not requiring a second plate in the left side of his face.

Moz had a plate fitted after fracturing his eye socket in February and Wolves, expecting a second plate to be needed, ruled him out for six weeks after he suffered a cheekbone fracture against Hull KR 11 days ago.

But another plate was not necessary when he went under the knife on Thursday and a four-week absence could put him in contention for Wolves' trip to France on April 21.

Wolves assistant coach Paul Darbyshire said: "If the plate is inserted I think it's six weeks but because he didn't need that it's four weeks according to the surgeon's report.

"The structure he had put in last time held up fine. It was a separate injury that just needed some manipulating to get back in place."
