ADRIAN Morley did not require a second plate to be fitted in his face when he underwent an operation to repair a fractured cheekbone on Thursday.
Morley had a plate inserted around his left eye socket five weeks ago after a fracture in Wolves' opening game at Wigan.
Paul Johnson then connected with the plate as he clashed heads with Morley on his comeback against Hull KR last week, resulting in a fractured cheekbone for the former Sydney Roosters star.
A second plate was expected to be fitted this week but Wolves coach Paul Cullen said: "Adrian went in for his operation on Thursday and the good news is he did not have to be plated, the surgeon popped out the cheekbone."
