PAUL Cullen hopes Jon Clarke can produce another big performance at scrum half at Wakefield tomorrow, Sunday.
Clarke, normally a hooker or loose forward, impressed while standing in for the injured Lee Briers during last weekend's 30-12 home win against Hull KR.
Clarke directed play well and put Rovers under pressure with his kicking game, so Cullen will hand the 27-year-old the lead role again in the absence of Briers at Belle Vue - even if regular stand off Chris Bridge starts.
Cullen said: "Although Paul Rauhihi was team captain against Hull KR, it was Jon Clarke taking on the responsibilities of the technical and tactical know-how of getting us from one end of the field to the other, then opening up once we'd got there.
"Our kicking game was very reasonable considering we didn't have a genuine kicker on the field.
"That means your position to kick has got to be spot on and your kick chase has got to be even better.
"Jon will be as important as every other player on Sunday because it was a real team effort against Hull KR."
