WARRINGTON Kickboxing Studio's Graham Sayer could break a United Kingdom amateur record if he makes a third successful defence of his world middleweight title on Saturday.

Sayer, who was the Warrington Sports Personality of 2005, is expected to make a voluntary defence in an Amateur Kickboxing Association show in Altrincham against an as yet unknown opponent.

Having won the world belt last July and since defeated two challengers, Sayer has lost a stone in weight during a tough training regime in the past four weeks.

Fellow Warrington kickboxer Paul Quayle is likely to defend his British and inter-continental light heavyweight titles in the event, while Paige Farrington is in line to defend her women's British featherweight belt.

The main contests, including fighters from England, Turkey, France and India, will take place between 7pm and 10pm and tickets can be purchased in advance for £15 from promoter Pele Nathan on 07790 833030.
