Cheadle/Linotype 2 Greenalls 0.
LONG-SERVING Greenalls manager Ian Lomax described Saturday's Mid-Cheshire First Division defeat at Cheadle/Linotype as the club's worst performance during his time in charge.
Traffic problems meant Greenalls arrived at the ground just in time for kick-off and they were behind when Cheadle scored from a set piece inside 10 minutes.
Greenalls keeper Phil Cartwright then spilled the ball to give Cheadle an easy tap-in for the second and the visitors lost Mark Hughes to a suspected broken rib in the second half.
Greenalls, who missed an opportunity to climb to third in the league, travel to Styal on Saturday.
