LYMM RFC are sending four of their junior rugby union teams to play in a tournament in the Middle East in May.

Lymm, who count current England international David Strettle among their former players, are taking a party of 200 people - teams from under sevens up to under 10s plus parents and members - to Bahrain on a five-day trip that will give the youngsters a fantastic opportunity to experience international rugby.

The club received an invitation from Bahrain Rugby Club to play in a mini tournament including teams from Australia, South Africa and the Middle East countries and the response from Lymm members has been overwhelming.

"The idea of taking our kids out to play rugby against teams from other countries is seen by club members as an opportunity that is too good to miss," said Lymm's Simon Plumb.

"The airlines have done a deal on flights and we will all be accommodated by the ex-pat families out there so all of a sudden it has become a very affordable trip.

"I understand there are Australian, South African and Middle Eastern teams in the competition so what a great experience this will be for our boys."

Lymm are currently seeking tour sponsors and anyone able to help can e-mail Simon Plumb at simon@communicadocreative.com.
