ONLY three points were scored as Eagle were edged out by Knutsford in rugby union's South Lancashire/Cheshire Four.
Both sides defended well and the score remained 0-0 until Knutsford kicked a penalty with 15 minutes remaining on the clock.
It proved to be the kick that consigned Eagle, who travel to Linley on Saturday, to defeat.
Eagle's under 19s clinched a 33-7 home win against Trafford MV at the weekend.
