BEN Westwood believes Wolves' forwards can turn Adrian Morley's six-week absence into a positive.

Westwood has extended his sympathy to Morley, who has been ruled out until early May after fracturing his cheekbone in the opening stages of Sunday's 30-12 home win against Hull KR - his comeback game from a fractured eye socket.

But Westwood, who takes on his former club Wakefield this weekend, is hopeful that the Wolves pack can cope without Morley and then become even stronger when the Great Britain international returns.

"Adrian's a good player but he only played 17 minutes at the weekend," he said.

"It was a good 17 minutes for him but after that the forwards just carried on as if he wasn't there.

"It was a really good win and playing well without him is only a good thing for us because when he comes back we could be even better - he's that kind of player.

"Everyone feels for him because it's not a reoccurrence of his old injury, it's a different injury that he's got. The last one was his eye socket and this one's his cheekbone.

"But he'll be all right because he can train with us and doesn't have to be away from us.

"That will keep his motivation up and I think he'll be ready for when comes back."
