THELWALL rugby union star David Strettle had a quiet end to his successful Six Nations campaign as England were beaten 27-18 in Wales on Saturday.
The 23-year-old former Lymm RFC and Warrington RUFC winger burst on to the international scene with impressive performances in his first two matches for England during the tournament but only touched the ball three times during the entire 80 minutes at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
England, who finished third in the final Six Nations table, struggled to obtain possession during the game and Strettle suffered a distinct lack of service as a result.
He will now concentrate on Premiership rugby with Harlequins, whose next game is at home to London Irish on April 7, but will be hoping to return to the international stage by representing England at the World Cup in September.
