ENGLAND rugby union stars Nick Easter and Olly Morgan joined Lymm RFC in cheering on Warrington-born winger David Strettle against Wales on Saturday.

Despite the 27-18 defeat, 250 guests watched the action on a giant outdoor screen after the Crouchley Lane club beat off competition from 8,000 others and won an RBS Six Nations party.

Lymm's PR director Simon Plumb said: "People were disappointed that David (Strettle) didn't get more of the ball but he's definitely one for the future.

"He's always very complimentary about his time here as a junior and we're very proud he has gone so far."

Strettle, aged 23, couldn't get on the scoresheet at the Millenium Stadium, playing behind a pack that struggled to impose itself.

Backrower Easter and fullback Morgan were both forced to miss the Grand Slam decider through injury but instead got to enjoy the atmosphere at Lymm.
