GREAT Sankey High School's year 10 rugby league team will be playing for a place in the final of the Carnegie Champion Schools tournament when they take on Normanton Freeston High School in Rochdale today, Thursday.

Great Sankey reached the semi finals of the national competition by winning 40-8 at Feltham High School in south west London in the last eight.

If they are successful at Hopwood Hall College today against their opponents from the outskirts of Wakefield - the former school of Warrington Wolves forward Ben Westwood - they will go forward to the final in London on Challenge Cup Final weekend in late August.

But Great Sankey are Warrington's last representatives in the national competition after William Beamont Sports College's year-seven side lost 20-10 at Normanton Freeston in their quarter-final tie.
