A one-minute's silence was held prior to Warrington Wolves' Super League clash with Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday in respect of a popular member of the club's staff.
A club statement said: "Warrington Wolves are saddened to announce the passing of Sheila Roberts, on Thursday morning.
Shop Sheila, as she was affectionately known by colleagues and supporters alike, had been unwell for the last four weeks.
Sheila and her late husband Brian were avid Warrington Rugby League Club fans. Sheila proudly worked in the club shop, Wolfware, for the last nine years.
She loved working in Wolfware and dealing with supporters, especially on a Saturday where she had a cult following, especially with the children.
Sheila was well liked by the players and a number of them have lodged with her over the years.
She even sponsored her favourite player Rob Smyth when he played for Warrington Wolves.
She was a really nice lady, who was very passionate about Warrington Wolves and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all connected with the club.
Our thoughts are with Sheila's family."
