Warrington Wolves u21 44 Hull KR u21 22.

AN early try from Hull KR gave Wolves' Senior Academy side a shock but they quickly recovered and took control, going on to win Saturday's game comfortably.

Hull scored in the first few minutes through Jackson, converted by Latus, but it was not long before the impressive Tyrone McCarthy replied for Warrington, converted by Anthony Rourke to bring the scores level.

Then there was a scrappy period which Warrington dominated but could not convert pressure into points until Rourke eventually gave Warrington the lead with a try that he converted on 30 minutes.

A couple of minutes before half time McCarthy scored his second, powering on to a short ball from Mike Johnson to crash through the opposition's defence.

Again Rourke converted and Warrington went into the break with a deserved lead.

It was not long into the second half before Warrington extended their lead with Rourke scoring his second after catching an acrobatic offload from Kevin Penny.

More tries from Matty Blythe, Anthony Jerram, Chris Riley and Steven Roper, and three more conversions from Roper, showed just how much Warrington dominated the second half.

Unfortunately, three late tries from rocking Robins gave the impression that the game was closer than it was.
