HULL Kingston Rovers could be without playmaker James Webster when they face Wolves again in the Carnegie Challenge Cup on March 31.
The Australian scrum half suffered a suspected broken ankle just before half time during the league meeting between the two sides on Sunday, which Wolves won 30-12.
Webster, who has been one of the main reasons behind Rovers' success in the past 12 months, was not able to return for the second half and went to hospital for tests on Sunday night.
His absence from the cup tie at The Halliwell Jones Stadium would hand Wolves an advantage, particular if Lee Briers and Chris Bridge are back from their injuries.
"James is off to the hospital and has a suspected broken ankle," said Rovers coach Justin Morgan after the game.
"He was walking around at half time and he attempted to come out for the second half but couldn't put a great weight on it, so fingers crossed that it's not too serious.
"But I can't imagine he'll be playing for the next couple of weeks."
Loose forward Tommy Gallagher is also a doubt for the cup game with a shoulder injury and Morgan reckons his side will have to play a lot better in two weeks' time.
"We'll need to be better and I'm sure Warrington will be better," he said.
"They'll be better with a couple of runs under their belt and a couple of new half back combinations, so we'll learn a little bit and hopefully in the cup tie we'll come with a better attitude and hopefully a better performance on the back of that."
