WARRIORS of Warrington Swimming Club won 19 gold medals at the Menai A and B Graded Meet on Saturday.

Warriors, whose 36-strong team consisted of swimmers ranging from eight to 15, also secured 18 silvers and nine bronzes in north Wales as well as 37 speeding tickets - handed out to those who swim faster than the meet entry time.

Rebecca Coy won three golds, one silver and one bronze, while Robyn Kong clinched one gold, two silvers and two bronzes.

Oliver Houghton, Ashleigh Wrench and Sophie Shorleson each received four speeding tickets, with Rachel Howard, Hannah Murphy and Jade Twine winning one goal and three speeding tickets.

Katharine Callaghan and Leah Evans both secured two speeding tickets, one gold and one silver, while Jessica Pierce won two golds and two bronzes, with Rebecca Pye taking three speeding tickets and one silver.

Some of the club's older swimmers will take part in the Cheshire County Championships in the coming weeks.
