RYLANDS under 18s missed out on maximum points after conceding a late penalty goal against Orrell in the North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Youth League.
Chris Forster opened the scoring with a 90-metre interception effort and well-worked tries followed from Jonathan Smith and Ian Harris.
Orrell brought the score back to 14-12 with minutes left.

CULCHETH put a dent in Tigers' chances of finishing the season as champions.
Widnes stormed into a 22-12 half-time lead, with Culcheth's tries coming from Chris Nestor and Mussie, but Simon Jeffers raced 90 metres to score the match-winning try for Eagles.
