GOLDEN Lion One have won Grappenhall Darts League's Beesley Leigh Three-a-Side Cup.

They defeated Bulls Head One 5-4 in the weekend's final.

Steve Tatlock won five games from five for Golden Lion during both the final and the 5-0 semi final defeat of Red Lion One.

Dave Williams won games in 20, 17 and 19 darts, while Brian Watson impressed with rounds of 15, 16 and 19.

It was not all good news for Lion, though, as they were thrashed 8-1 by Fleece in a league game.

Ben Allen won in nine darts for Fleece, whose other star performers were Carl Richardson, 18 and Rob Turner, 18.

Pickering Arms lost to Red Lion 5-4 despite Terry Sheen throwing the best of the night with 20.

Warrington Town lost 5-4 against GTL A despite John Lawton winning in 14 and Jimmy Lee in 16. Chris Swindells won in 14 for GTL A.

GYCA beat Crown 6-2 with Eric Llewellyn impressing in a 13-dart win.
