PAUL Cullen has asked his Wolves side to make sure they dominate field position against Hull KR on Sunday.

Justin Morgan's Robins have the best completion rate in Super League this season so far and Cullen feels the promoted side's territorial dominance is the main reason why they have won four of their first five games.

That includes Saturday's shock 22-20 win against Leeds, when Rovers came from behind as they did when they knocked Wolves out of the Challenge Cup in surprise fashion last season.

"Hull KR came from behind to beat Leeds so we are not the only team they have done it to," said Cullen.

"They have learned how to play their own game, which is completion.

"Once a side shows you some disrespect, which means they give you cheap ball, they grind away, work at the ruck, turn you over and make you go all the way back and start again.

"Invariably what happens then is that teams start pushing even more passes, which makes it even worse. That's what we have to prevent.

"We go into this game looking forward to what is going to be a very tough competition.

"Hull Kingston Rovers don't fade away. They're not going anywhere.

"They're going to play this game until the 80th minute and are going to fight for every scrap of ground.

"Although we've had two poor last quarters, against Bradford and St Helens, in our three wins we've gone all the way to the 80th minute and had to do to win all of those games.

"We had to defend manfully against Wigan, we needed a drop goal to win against Hull in the 79th minute and against Harlequins we were battling away in the final seconds of that game to make sure they didn't come back at us.

"We've been there, we're accustomed to it and we know full well that's the way it's going to go this week.

"I am the least surprised person in Super League (that Hull Kingston Rovers have started well), they are a very well drilled unit.

"They've beaten Wigan at the JJB and they've beaten Leeds. That's a massive achievement and I'm not surprised by that in any way, shape or form.

"We've discussed the stats and all the whys and wherefores. We've gone through all the Hull KR stats at length.

"When they return the ball with Ben Cockayne, he's a very aggressive runner and wins his collision.

"Once they've won the collision they simply pour through. They complete, then they kick and they chase and challenge you to go full length.

"To be fair it's not dissimilar to Harlequins. We had to be very patient against Harlequins and score some very good tries.

"Maybe Hull KR do not have that flair in six, seven and 13 to the extent that Harlequins have but once they get fatigue into a side, which they do by completing, they've got enough options to score.

"The key is we don't want them opening up in our 20, we want them attempting to get the ball out of their 20."
