TOWN recorded their first win in nine games in their important match against fellow relegation strugglers Wakefield on Saturday.

Ian Street's side took the lead in the 39th minute when Graeme Mitchell found the net with an angled drive from the edge of the box and Karl Wills maintained the lead with a superb double save.

Phil Howard then finished off an excellent team move to put Town 2-0 ahead in the 48th minute, although Wakefield hit back with a goal from Neil Smith.

Wills then kept out Andy Battye's effort with a flying save.
