WARRINGTON Schoolboys' under 11s soccer team bounced back from their exit from the Barnet Shield House Cup by defeating Blackpool 3-1 on Saturday.
The Barnet Shield House Cup holders missed out on a third consecutive final appearance at Everton's Goodison Park after losing on penalties to Bootle in the last four last Wednesday.
But they clinched a convincing win against Blackpool at Victoria Park, with Liam Turner putting them ahead.
Chris Bibby then found the net with a great strike before Lloyd Pownall's impressive volley rounded off the scoring for Warrington, for whom Tom Peers was the player of the match.
Keeper Alex Brookes had an excellent game in the cup semi final against Bootle at the Liverpool Soccer Centre, with Chris Bibby almost handing Warrington victory in extra time when he struck the crossbar from a set piece.
First-half chances fell to Brad Parker, Turner and Joe Newton but Warrington, who host Maghull at William Beamont Sports College on Saturday at 10.30am, could not get on the scoresheet.
