WOLVES will continue to put the pressure on their injured players by making full use of a hyperbaric chamber in Swinton.

The club believe treatment in the chamber, which utilises pure oxygen at high pressure, helped Adrian Morley's recovery from a fractured eye socket.

Lee Briers and Chris Bridge have also made use of it this week as they bid to come back from respective hamstring and groin problems.

Paul Cullen has thanked Swinton Lions RLFC for offering them the facility and believes it will help to speed up recovery times throughout the season.

"We will use it as and when it is appropriate," said Wolves' head coach.

"We've been aware of it for a considerable period but availability has been the big issue.

"We've got a very good relationship with the chairman and the coach at Swinton.

"They're good friends of mine and both work for Sky Sports. They are the stats guys, John and Paul Kidd.

"They've gone out of their way to open up their facilities to accommodate our players.

"Both were at the St Helens game and instantly were organising for the facility to be opened the day after for Lee Briers and Chris Bridge.

"You're getting the pure oxygen pumped in and it's proven medically that the recovery rate will increase and also you get the benefit of taking in pure oxygen, which will increase your ability to train. You get a double hit out of it.

"And if it does no more than give them a one per cent improvement it's worth doing."

Morley has been happy to undergo the chamber treatment and hopes it has been beneficial for him.

He said: "I'm not too sure whether I am back earlier than I would have been because of the treatment but there must be something in it. All the sportsman do it.

"It's hard to say what would have been if you didn't have the treatment but I'd like to think there's something in it and I've got something out of it."
