MIKE Wainwright gives an insight into his life on and off the field.

Q. What is your favourite film?

A. Possibly my favourite at the moment is Anchorman with Will Ferrell. I grew a moustache recently and got told I looked a bit like him!

Q. What is your favourite television programme of all time?

A. I like Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights but when there's nothing on television I always go back to Only Fools and Horses on UK Gold. I'm really into Lost as well and a lot of the lads are into that.

Q. Do you have any unusual hobbies?

A. I'm studying at the moment for a qualification for when I finish playing rugby. It's a distance learning qualification for mortgages and financial advice. I've passed two exams and I just need one more to be qualified.

Q. Did anyone else you went to school with become famous?

A. Spike from the band 911 was one or two years above me at William Beamont High School.

Q. What is the most unusual autograph you've ever signed?

A. I usually either get mistaken for Peter Crouch or kids ask me for my autograph and then ask me who I am!

Q. If you weren't a rugby league player, what would you be doing?

A. I was a qualified painter and decorator. I was good with ceilings but not very good with skirting boards because of my height!

Q. What is your favourite try?

A. I scored at Old Trafford for Warrington in the Academy Final and scoring against Hull on my birthday last year was nice. I remember scoring for Warrington against Bradford from the halfway line in the 1995/6 season as well.

Q. What is your favourite away ground?

A. I used to really enjoy playing at Leeds before the new stadiums came in. I played at Anfield when Warrington played Saints in 1997 and as a Liverpool fan that was probably my biggest experience.

Q. What is your least favourite away ground?

A. Some people don't like going to Saints but probably my least favourite used to be Castleford because it was quite an intimidating place, like the Boulevard used to be. Most people say Salford but spending three years there I got used to it!
