ST Helens coach Daniel Anderson felt that Wolves' fantastic new pitch only served to help his side's flowing rugby on Friday.
Saints are renowned for their attractive play and both Anderson and hat-trick scorer Matt Gidley reckoned the pristine surface, which was laid a month before the start of the season, suited their game perfectly.
Anderson also felt that the immaculate pitch meant that most teams in Super League would look forward to coming to The Halliwell Jones Stadium this season.
