BRIDGE Foot Boxing Club's girls are making a name for themselves.
Schoolgirl Jessica Ward won a one-sided unanimous decision against Jessica Beedham in Hull last weekend.
Beedham came out very aggressive but walked straight on to Ward's stiff left jab. Ward kept the centre of the ring and Beedham could not get through Ward's defence and precise punches.
Beedham had a bad nose bleed in the last round but was allowed to continue until the final bell.
Bridge Foot have three girls active this season under the watchful eye of Amanda Groarke, who has been selected to help coach the England girls' junior squad at Sheffield.
