LATCHFORD worked hard with walking wounded' to overcome a powerful Thatto Heath side. Tries from Matthew Lomax and Kallum Watkins were enough to give Latchford the points.

Blackpool Scorpions u16 14 Woolston Rovers u16 26.

WOOLSTON had to fight hard for the victory against a determined Blackpool side and won courtesy of tries from Nicholas, two, Kanczes, Metcalf and Files.

Rylands Sharks u16 13 Hindley u16 4.

AFTER conceding an early try, Rylands kicked on and totally dominated. Nick Bate and man of the match Jack Reid were the try scorers in a superb team effort.

Latchford Albion Unicorns u15 20 Portico Vine u15 0.

LATCHFORD came from behind led by magnificent top tackler Adam Barnes. They progressed to the next round of the North West Counties Cup with two tries from John Hewitt and a try each from Adam Yates Dutton and Ash Pilling.

West Bank u15 20 Crosfield u15 6.

WEST Bank adapted to poor conditions better than Crosfields, who made too many unforced errors and scored only one try courtesy of Hamilton.

Shevington Sharks u13 14 Woolston Rovers u13 0.

WOOLSTON were knocked out of the North West Counties Cup at the quarter-final stage despite playing well in atrocious conditions.

Golborne Parkside u13 30 Latchford Albion Unicorns u13 0.

LATCHFORD travelled to Golborne for a friendly and despite their best efforts they were no match for a well-organised outfit. A much improved second-half performance showed the spirit in the Albion side.

Wigan St Cuthberts u13 26 Rylands Sharks u13 8.

RYLANDS played well in poor conditions against a well-drilled Wigan outfit who are two divisions above them. Tries were scored by Sam Leicester and Joseph Kelly.

Rylands Sharks u12 38 Shevington Sharks u12 8.

RYLANDS camped near Shevington's line from the kick off and the tactics paid off with tries coming from Ryan Mercer, Lewis Charnock, Ben Walker and Jack Lewis.

Rylands Tiger Sharks u11 20 Thatto Heath u11 32.

TIGER Sharks produced an excellent team performance and tries were scored by Matthew Richie, two, Ronan Cullen and Kyle Tilbury. Player of the match Sam Clarke scored a goal, as did coach's award winner Ryan Trantum.

Burtonwood Bulldogs u11 0 Hindley u11 0.

BURTONWOOD Bulldogs kept up a strong defence against Hindley in what was a fantastic performance from both teams in very poor weather conditions.

FOR the second match running Rylands nilled their opponents by tackling them out of the game and playing some fast and fluent rugby in attack. Tries were scored by Ryan Brown, Tyler Whitaker, Kurt Whitely and player of the match Liam Hill.

Saddleworth Rangers u10 12 Rylands Sharks u10 18.

RYLANDS recorded a good win with a strong team performance and tries from player of the match Callum Leonard, three, and Jack Inman. Ellis Humphreys was the top tackler and the coach's award went to Connor Byron.

Crosfield u9 16 Folly Lane u9 12.

CROSFIELDS produced an outstanding performance with Jack Rylatt standing out as the player of the match, George Dower as the top tackler and Conner Harris as the coach's award winner.

Rylands u9 36 Widnes St Maries u9 16.

COACHES' award winner Dylan Windsor crossed twice, while Sam Vernon added a hat-trick of tries with other scores coming from player of the match Elliot Best, Jack Vance, Oliver Hands and Sam Hickey.

Ince Rose Bridge u8 24 Rylands Sharks u8 20.

RYLANDS' 13-match unbeaten run came to an end against an excellent Rose Bridge team. Tries were scored by Casey Brown, three, and Lloyd Roby, two. Joe Amor was the player of the match and the most improved player honour went to Kieran Evans.

Portico Vine u8 8 Latchford Albion Unicorns u8 38.

SAM Graham opened the scoring for Latchford and Lewis Harmer scored a hat trick, while player of the match Morgan Adawee scored two tries and Jacob Proudlove's first for the club earned him the coach's award.

Rylands u7 28 Chorley u7 20.

RYLANDS won a difficult game against a strong Chorley side on the back of some great defence. Tries were scored by Josh Boyd, three, Ben Moore, two, Ronan Leather and Ryan Robinson.
