RYLANDS Sharks made hard work of breaking down the stubborn Cumbrians but were never in danger of losing Saturday's clash in the North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Premier Division.
First-half tries from man of the match Ian Ward, Chris Forster and Neil Evans, as well as a penalty from Forster, gave Rylands a 14-0 half-time advantage.
Rylands were stifled by the Islanders on the heavy pitch after the break but still managed two further tries from Jamie Evans and Anthony Poole, both converted by Forster.
