SOCRATES moved up the Warrington Sunday Soccer League Premier Division table with a 3-1 win against Monk Sports at the weekend.

Mike Rough, Ian Berry and Paul Derbyshire scored for Socrates, with Brian Griffiths on target for Real Gate in their 2-2 draw with Vulcan.

Wilkies stayed bottom of the league as Phil Whitehead struck a hat-trick and Phil Marsden also got on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win for Moorfield Callands, who put their own net to give Wilkies their only goal.

Ex-Servicemans remain mid-table in Division Three after their 5-2 win against Wolf Pack, which included a hat-trick for Ste Horrabin and further goals from Danny McKay and Mark Yates.

Wolf had taken a 1-0 lead through Ste Hitchmough, with Mark Tilling scoring their other goal.

Official Club Speed won a 6-5 thriller against Whitecross Warriors despite two goals from David Ives and one each from Tom Robinson, Carl Warburton and David Bates for Warriors.
