ADRIAN Morley is 'absolutely killing himself' in an attempt to make his comeback from a fractured eye socket in the home match against Hull KR next weekend.

Morley was ruled out for six weeks after sustaining the injury during his Wolves debut at Wigan but could be in line for an early return against Rovers on March 18.

Paul Cullen was not prepared to risk the forward against St Helens but has praised Morley's determination to get back in action.

"Adrian is not a million miles off now," said Cullen. "It will be a big boost when he returns and I think the whole club, if not the whole town, will be looking forward to it.

"He's had clearance on the fracture and may well make the game against Hull KR. If he doesn't he will be available the week after at Wakefield.

"He's been in a hyperbaric chamber in Manchester getting pure oxygen pumped in, which aids recovery and also keeps the fitness levels where they need to be.

"But that's only the icing on the cake. Adrian has worked himself to a standstill with Paul Darbyshire in the gym and the rehab room to get himself back to the right level. He's absolutely killing himself to get back on the field."
