Tyldesley 14 Lymm 13.

A DROP goal in stoppage time snatched victory away from Lymm RFC in Saturday's Powergen North Two West fixture at Tyldesley.

Nick Shaw landed a penalty in the 80th minute to put Lymm ahead 13-11 but a brilliant 45-yard drop goal in windy conditions gave Tyldesley the points.

Shaw had put Lymm ahead with a penalty and hooker Nick Girdlestone scored a converted try to give the visitors a sizeable lead at half time.

But Tyldesley raised their game, landing two penalties and moving in front for the first time with an unconverted try before the dramatic finale.

Lymm are not in action this weekend but host Stoke on March 17, when a rugby party will also take place at the club.

LYMM'S second team returned to winning ways with an excellent performance in the North West Intermediate League Bateman BMW Premier Division.

Young second rower Zac Lythgoe again touched down as Lymm maintained their mid-table position.

LYMM'S third team eased past Altrincham Kersal's seconds in a Miller Homes League Division Two relegation battle at the weekend.

Man of the Ollie Higginson opened the scoring and a combination of youth and experience allowed Lymm to lead 38-0 at half time.

Addi Ogunmyiwa scored three tries after the interval but Lymm still need to win two more games to steer clear of relegation.

NATHAN Fernyhough scored a hat-trick as a depleted Lymm side overcame Altrincham Kersal.

Nick Martin opened the scoring for Lymm, while Jack Worton added two conversions on his full debut.
