CHRIS Bridge came off the bench to play 69 minutes of Wolves' 19-12 win at Harlequins on Saturday.

Bridge was expected to be out until Easter after tearing his hamstring in Wolves' opening game at Wigan three weeks ago but a speedy recovery allowed him to take his place in the squad at the weekend, having originally not been named in the 20-man squad.

The 22-year-old had his left leg strapped but was able to play almost the entire game without any difficulties after coming on to replace the injured Brent Grose after 11 minutes.

Bridge had a solid game, kicking one goal, and is now likely to start at stand off in place of Michael Sullivan when Wolves take on St Helens at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday.
