RYLANDS' under 18s were beaten by a late penalty in their National Cup quarter-final tie at West Hull.
Chris Forster's penalty put Rylands ahead but West Hull moved 10-2 in front before Ste Moorcroft touched down a converted try in the second half.
Rylands then led 20-14 with six minutes to go after tries from Moorcroft and Forster but West Hull grabbed a try to level the scores and then landed a penalty in time added on.
Widnes Tigers u17 22 Culcheth Eagles u17 10.
CULCHETH led twice in the early stages but eventually fell to defeat against Widnes.
Shaun Jones was Culcheth's player of the match for his defensive work.
Langworthy Reds u17 8 Latchford Unicorns u17 6.
LATCHFORD were narrowly beaten by Langworthy in a top of the table clash.
Smith scored a try and added a goal for Latchford, who could go top if they defeat Widnes Tigers on Sunday at 11.45am.
