LYMM rugby union star David Strettle will make his England debut in the Six Nations clash in Ireland on Saturday.
The pacy former Lymm RFC winger, currently playing for Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership, was called into the squad on Thursday as cover for injury doubt Jason Robinson.
Robinson has since been ruled out of Saturday's game at Dublin's vociferous Croke Park, kick-off 5.30pm, because of a neck problem, so Strettle will make his first England appearance on the left wing after being selected ahead of the more experienced Ben Cohen and Mark Cueto.
The 23-year-old is a former Lymm High School pupil and becomes the school's first full rugby union international.
Strettle has scored nine tries in 14 appearances for Harlequins since joining from Rotherham's Earth Titans in the summer and has previously impressed while representing England Sevens and England Saxons.
