147 miles Some friends of mine are doing a bike ride from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Sunderland to raise money for SAMM (Support after Murder and Manslaughter in Merseyside).
It is being done in memory of Vicky Wynne-Jones. They started today and finish on Sunday. I think 147 miles will be such an achievement and they are doing well with fundraising. If anyone wants to support the cause you can donate via: http://www.justgiving.com/the-numptys12. I would have liked to have done it but as it happens, I am off to Benidorm. Also, I can't really ride a bike.
Maybe if I ever learn, I can take part in a bike ride myself and support an equally worthy cause in the future.
