GARY Slater’s latest book is stuffed with fascinating information about Warrington Wolves.
Comprehensive, The Warrington Wolves Miscellany whirls through a range of topics seemingly faster than Lee Briers breaks club records.
Lee, Wolves’ highest ever points scorer, wrote the foreword for the fourth book penned by 50-year-old Gary, a Warrington-born Daily Telegraph journalist and former deputy sports editor of the Warrington Guardian.
The scrum half’s records are all included, along with players of the decades, trophy successes, biggest attendances, advancements in technology and some favourite quotes among 150 fact-filled sections.
The book, published by The History Press, is available from the club’s Halliwell Jones Stadium shop and Waterstone’s.
