On Friday, I decided to have a go at kickboxing and my arms are still aching. I’ve realised how little exercise my arms get.
Although, I move them about a bit in Zumba, it’s not the same. For one thing, I had to do some press-ups and I was struggling.
I was doing the easy ones as well where you’re not even supporting your whole body. The punching exercises as well really gave me a workout and I think at this rate they may have just recovered by the time I go again in over a week’s time.
Some people seem to have been puzzled at my interest in this particular exercise. The fighting aspect of the sport isn’t what drew me in. I want it for fitness really and especially if it increases the strength in my arms.
Anything I do or learn beyond that is a bonus. I’m not sure whether financially it is something I’m going to be able to do as much as I’d like but if I really get into it, I won’t let anything stand in my way.
