AS a good way to relax and enjoy myself at the weekend, I always looked forward to going to Mersey Rock on a Friday night at the Legion in Penketh, where I could always count on good music, good atmosphere and a good time.
It was a genuinely great way for teenagers to be off the streets and in a safe environment, but still have a fun time.
However, this is no longer the case because of other people who came along and wrecked the fun for us.
Now that Mersey Rock has moved to St Joseph's, the atmosphere has left completely and the night just isn't the same any more.
We caused no trouble, and never started any fights, yet we are the ones who get punished for the actions of other people.
There is really no point in having conflict at 11 o'clock at night, simply because of the music people listen to and the clothes people wear. This is a sad reflection of what society seems to be like today.
