TAKE the plunge to help raise money for Warrington Disability Partnership on Saturday.
Following the success of last year’s debut event, organisers are offering people the chance to take part in a scuba challenge at Woolston Leisure Centre.
The Going the Extra Mile Challenge is open for experienced scuba divers and novices.
All the money raised will help fund this year’s Disability Awareness Day in the summer, Europe’s biggest held at Walton Gardens.
Supported by the CybAqua Club Warrington, the event runs between 5.30pm and 8pm at the centre on Hall Road.
Clubs and individuals are invited to join in with the challenge of raising a minimum of £30 per person.
The event is open to experienced divers (PADI or BSEc Qualified) and the Try Dive is open to novices (£30 per person).
Meanwhile the charity is also organising a number of other fundraisers in a bid to match the £15,000 raised last year.
Places are available for running the Manchester BUPA 10k in May and organisers are in the final stages of planning a sponsored swim in April, kayak in May and pro karting later in the year.
Anyone interested in supporting or joining in with this or any of our other events, call the fundraising team on 240064 or complete the form at disabilitypartnership.org.uk.
